Description
The Flame of Zhar is a rising crime syndicate, emerging from the ashes of the devastated mining world Burnin Konn.
Masquerading as a mining and trade organization, the syndicate feeds on the desperation of Burnin Konn’s inhabitants in the aftermath of Operation Cinder and the Iron Blockade. Operating from the shadows, the Flame steadily consolidates control over the remnants of the mining industry and the fractured planetary government through intimidation, bribery, and gang violence. At the helm stands the charismatic Lady Pria, an outsider with a shadowy past and an uncanny talent for winning loyalty to her cause. Having worked relentlessly to establish herself as a criminal leader, Pria now guides the syndicate with an iron grip.
The syndicate’s namesake is the Flame of Zhar— a legendary Corusca gem, long thought lost, but recently recovered. While the Flame is focused on expanding its grip over Burnin Konn, it has begun eyeing other worlds in the Anoat sector and beyond, with ambitions to challenge the dominance of the Five Families. In these turbulent times, opportunities
abound…
Organization and Operations
The Flame of Zhar is still carving out its niche in the underworld after the Imperial Iron Blockade got recently lifted. On Burnin Konn, the Flame has successfully ousted the Ivax Syndicate and now operates from the city of Ashheap. The syndicate manages a cantina while the shady spaceport serves as a hub for smuggling. With a corrupt or non-existent local government, the Flame collects protection credits from Ashheap’s inhabitants. Resistance is dealt with swiftly and often aggressively.
Though the Flame is the dominant syndicate on Burnin Konn, a growing number of smaller groups, organizations, and gangs have pledged loyalty to its cause. Their leaders, referred to as underlords, operate with considerable autonomy as long as they adhere to Lady Pria’s commands.
Sub-organizations
Clonedyke Mining Ltd.
Originally established as Ragvynn Industries, the company found itself in conflict with the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. The Separatists annexed its main operation on an unnamed mining world in the Expansion Regions and held its leadership hostage. Liberation came at the hands of Republic clone troopers, who reclaimed the planet after a fierce battle. The mining site, surrounded by dykes holding back the ocean waters, earned the nickname “Clone Dyke”. To honor their liberators and to use the publicity, the company rebranded itself as Clonedyke Mining.
Clonedyke continued operations under the new regime and moved to Burnin Konn. There it established a mining operation near the city of Ashheap, though activities eventually ceased in the wake of Operation Cinder. The Flame of Zhar seized control of Clonedyke Mining’s dormant industrial assets, reactivating the company as a front for its clandestine activities.

The Cold Blood
The Cold Blood is an older crime organization founded by Falleen mercenaries, but it was eventually brought under Lady Pria’s control. Once a formidable force operating in the Hutt territories and the Bryx sector, the Cold Blood began losing ground as the Bryx Security Bureau (BSB) expanded its influence. Sensing their vulnerability, Pria seized the opportunity, offering the group integration into her
emerging syndicate.
Now serving as an elite strike force for the Flame, the battlehardened Cold Blood execute high-risk missions with precision and ruthlessness. Their leader, the Falleen Lomo Xirokken, is said to have reluctantly accepted the new hierarchy, though his
loyalty remains a topic of quiet speculation. The Cold Blood is made up of mercenaries and bounty hunters, relentless and unyielding, driven by the promise of a lucrative reward. They are a sharp tool in Lady Pria’s arsenal, feared by allies and enemies alike. In the Anoat sector, they face a fierce rival in the stealthy Kohoun.
The Cult of the Eternal Flame
Little is known about the origins of the Eternal Flame, but its influence is steadily growing among the people of Burnin Konn and other worlds in the sector. In the aftermath of the devastations wrought by Operation Cinder, the cult has become a beacon of hope in a time of despair. Just as the smallest flame can illuminate the darkest corners, so does the Eternal Flame inspire hope where none was thought possible. The cult’s followers and zealots believe that every living being carries a flame within, and that fire is a physical manifestation of this inner essence.
Pria recently secured their devotion when she recovered the Flame of Zhar— a
legendary Corusca gem, formed in the deep atmospheric layers of the gas giant Zhar, long thought lost. The gem not only became the syndicate’s namesake but
also solidified Pria’s position as the cult’s embodiment of the Eternal Flame — an identity she finds peculiar but undeniably useful.
