[K10 - Coruschal - NR3F] First Patrol

With their initial briefing complete, Ghost Squadron joined members of the Coruschal Security Force on their first patrol through one of the city's industrial districts. While the streets closest to the New Republic landing zone had remained relatively quiet much of the capital was still divided between rival gangs fighting to expand their territory. Every abandoned warehouse, apartment block, and factory represented another foothold in the struggle for control.

The patrol moved cautiously through the crumbling neighborhood, passing rusted infrastructure and buildings that had stood empty for years. What had once been a thriving industrial district now bore the scars of neglect, with damaged roads, overgrown walls, and abandoned businesses serving as reminders of Coruschal's long decline.

The group hadn't gone far before one of the local officers raised a hand. "Movement."

A figure appeared in the window of a nearby building before disappearing just as quickly.

"They're watching us," one of the security officers muttered.

Moments later, blaster fire erupted from the upper floors and alleyways ahead. Ghost Squadron and the local security forces scrambled for cover as the patrol found itself caught in an ambush. Returning fire, they slowly pushed the gang members back through the district, forcing the survivors to abandon their positions and disappear deeper into the city.

As the last shot faded, the neighborhood fell silent once again. It wasn't a major victory, but it was a good start for Operation Industrial. Another district was back under New Republic control, another gang had been forced out, and the campaign was one step closer to restoring Coruschal to its former glory.
