Excerpt from "Black Starbirds: Memoirs of a Fleet Intelligence Officer", published 44 ABY
Breaking Iceheart's grip on Tauber was another stepping stone towards Thyferra and opening the taps on the galaxy's bacta supplies. After quietly giving my Saphrel identity a temporary retirement in the wake of the Battle of Yag'duhl, I assumed the guise of my opposite number in Imperial Intelligence. In this uniform I gained access to the old NeuroSaav facilities where the Bacta Cartel carried out a variety of medical experiments.
When I had wormed my way into the main facility, I signaled the fleet, and breached the offices of the head scientist, an augmented human named Ryoito.
The building shook again, alarms clanging faintly outside the office. With a quick shot to the door controls, the Fleet Intelligence agent turned his blaster towards the scientist.
"Hands up, slowly. If I think you're trying to erase anything, I'll burn a hole in you faster than an Odupiendo on spice."
He pressed his thumb against the badge on his cap, and Ryoito winced.
"Felt that, did ya? Your implants are being jammed. There won't be any tricky business with those either."
Ryoito slowly lifted his hands from the desk, careful to avoid the datapads spread across it. Blasterfire echoed in the distance.
"Hear that? The Republic has arrived."
The agent gestured slightly with his blaster.
"All your work? It's going to be used to help folks - not just humans like that poor sap that was guarding your door, but nonhumans too."
Ryoito's face tightened slightly.
"What did you do to my guard?"
A thin smile split the agent's face.
"I'm afraid all the bacta in the galaxy couldn't help him now. So conscientious of him, to challenge the credentials of a double eyes officer. He'd never have lasted."
Beautiful immersive scene! I appreciate what you tried to do with the blood on the wall, but the blocky splatter looks a bit weird - great idea tho. It would be nice to see a photo of the full build too. 🙂 Great work!

Thanks, organic splatter/spills are still something I need to refine.
Unfortunately the full build wasn't very presentable haha. And it got torn apart quickly after the photographs as it was using a significant portion of my lighting parts.Â
Once again, your presentation really shines. I actually think the blood spatter looks pretty good, especially since the actual pieces make up some of the wall. Small detail, but using the all red control panel was a great choice! It really sold the "something is wrong" effect.
