Late to the Slumbloc Party (Part I)

Korick Dallard guided the aging LX-14 LawRunner through the narrow traffic lanes of Llanic, the speeder’s heavy frame vibrating softly around him as rain-speckled neon slid across the cockpit glass. The old craft responded with the same stubborn reliability it always had—slow on the turns, steady everywhere else. Somewhere behind him, the automated landing system crackled briefly to life before cutting out again in a burst of static he never bothered fixing.
He was late.
Not by accident.
The call from Central had already sat buried in dispatch for nearly forty minutes before someone finally pushed it through to his terminal. Then came the wrong access codes, a blocked transit lane, and a “clerical misunderstanding” about which tower in the Slumbloc the body had actually been found in. Too many delays stacked neatly on top of one another to feel natural.
Dallard rested one hand against the worn controls, eyes narrowing as he ascended from the traffic level, and the Slumbloc towers emerged through the haze ahead.
Nobody delayed a detective this deliberately unless they were trying to buy time.
The question was whether they were hiding a something… or protecting someone.

This speeder was originally a part of a crime scene MOC, but I felt I was stretching the rules by entering both the speeder and the scene, so now it will be split into a two-parter (one being after the LTC). 🙂 Thanks for reading/watching. More photos below.

Obvious spinner inspiration from the OG Blade Runner.

Another view.

With extended landing gear.
