Like so much else, the NeuroSaav facilities on Tauber had been subsumed by the war effort. What was once a pioneering research lab was now being used to treat wounded.

"CT-40/2013, your current scan shows no major injuries remaining. Error probability is 0.002%. You are now scheduled for release to your unit in one standard week."

"Hear that Crash? I'm getting back to the front soon!"

The trooper in the next bed grinned weakly. He was still on a bacta drip, his gut flora destroyed by a Separatist bioterrorist attack on the barracks mess.

"Lucky bastard. Blast some tinnies for me, will ya?"

The fighting over, only a low clatter of cleanup activity provided a backdrop to the fleet troops marching Ryoito through the facility. Lieutenant Dveri checked his datapad/jammer again to be sure the prisoner couldn't trigger his implants.

"Take a good look around, Imperial scum. It's the last you'll see of a lab. You're going to spend a long, long time in a cell on Coruscant."

The cyborg chuckled llightly.

"They'll cut a deal for my expertise. I'll be back here in a few months, doing the same thing for different masters."
