[Episode V - IR][M10 - Sarapin - PA] The Sarapin Spin

"That's the last of the canisters sir." said the trooper as the pipe outlet hissed closed. "I doubt we can get anymore without them noticing anyways."

"We could." Colonel Orkzyd said, a smile spreading across his face behind the breath mask. "We would only need a bigger ship to haul us out of here. The New Republic may be everywhere, but soon enough we won't have anything to worry about."

In truth, Orkzyd was not worried at all in the first place. Those rebels had their hands so full that he slipped onto Sarapin undetected. He had heard rumors of Rebel suicide squads roaming around hunting down top ranking Imps like himself. In all honesty, he felt insulted that they had not at least tried to come for him yet.

A gruff shout broke his thoughts.

"STOP!"

Orkzyd whirled around to see his trooper pointing his blaster at the rebel trooper who had suddenly appeared beside them. A patrol no doubt.

"Trooper, there is no need for undue violence. We mean you no danger." Orkzyd said, staring at the visibly shaking rebel. He obviously knew he was outgunned and outnumbered.

Orkzyd smiled innocently at the rebel.

"In fact, I am sure that in a moment, you won't be any danger to us at all anyways."

A KX droid erupted of the lava flow like a geyser, its canister and chemgun whining and gurgling as a black substance shot from it. The rebel screamed and spun around, falling back against the stone covered in the liquid and visibly dazed.

Orkzyd stepped over to the rebel. He did not want to miss this.

"Trooper, you will contact your command that your patrol is over, and that you are returning to base. You have nothing to report."

The trooper weakly nodded, the veins on his head bulging as he struggled to concentrate. Seeming confused, he pressed a button on the sleeve of his gauntlet.

"Command... this is Private Artur. My patrol is done... I have... nothing to report..."

Orkzyd smiled. The Pentastar Alignment would be very happy to learn that the trust and resources they had put into him were beginning to pay off.

But then, the rebel stirred.

"Command... this is Private Artur... send help... I repeat... send help..."

"Our time is up." Orkzyd said, disappointment creasing his brow. There were always kinks to work out. A more concentrated dose next time in the chemtank would do the trick surely, he knew. He grabbed the entranced rebel's blaster and gestured, his voice full of venom as he spoke. "Throw this weak minded husk into the flow and lets get out of here. Make sure he is dead first. I have met people who have survived the lava."

One hour later.

Yacov, Mira, Porly, and Jorj stood at the bank of the lava river. The melting helmet of a New Republic Ranger sunk in the flow, the putrid stench of burning flesh hanging over it like a dark cloud.

"Well, Orkzyd was definitely here." Yacov said. "I guess your intel was right after all Porly."

"Of course it was." Porly sniffed. "What do we do now though?"

"We track Orkzyd down." Jorj said, cracking a smile. "Its what we came here to do."

Mira smiled.

"Magnus Orkzyd will finally face justice. If the New Republic cannot hand him that, we certainly will."

"Indeed we will." Yacov said, grinning widely. "Now, lets get a move on and follow the trail: The real hunt is about to begin!"
