Governor Bin Essada’s naval forces were skilled, but lacked the numbers needed to repel the invading New Republic. Their fate was sealed with the announcement that Kuat’s Gyndine Defense Fleet would be remaining neutral, denying them the only true capital ships left in the sector. Nationalism by the Empire had been lucrative for Kuat Drive Yards, but KDY’s ambitions had grown beyond the Empire, and there was more profit to be made in a divided galaxy.
The prying eyes of the New Republic had the potential to be problematic, so KDY made the decision to transfer some of their more sensitive projects to quieter corners of the galaxy.
Under escort from whatever troops could be bought, KDY engineers travel to the docks, where ships wait to take them to Jaemus and Allanteen.
