At the edge of a remote cenote...
The cenote yawned open in the middle of the frozen wasteland, a jagged wound in the often unbroken surface of snow and ice. Wind howled across the exposed rock, carrying flakes of snow with it, but the darkness within the cavern remained strangely still. Whatever lay beneath the surface was completely hidden from sight, the depths swallowing even the weak light of the dusk.
Carm and his companions had finally reached the remote cenote the farmer had pointed out to them. After hours spent trudging through the blizzard, the thought of rappelling down into the relative shelter of the cavern was almost appealing. Still, as Carm looked over the edge, he could see little more than a swallowing darkness below.
"What's a destroyed Imperial tank doing out here?" Bern asked, his head nudging to the downed AT-AT. Carm could detect a hint of unease in his voice.
"It's a transport for hostile environments," Carm replied with a shrug. "I guess the Empire didn't build them to withstand the blizzards on this planet.
He turned to his two companions. "Alright—I'm not sure what we'll find down there, but with night coming, I think we should start making moves. Anything's better than freezing on the surface."
They fixed their grapples wherever they could find solid purchase and began the long descent into the black void, the windswept surface of Belsavis slowly disappearing above them.

This was a quick build to set up the next post for Belsavis, but I had some fun with midi-scale building and (hopefully) conveying the size and scale of the cenotes on the planet. As always, I'd love any comments, suggestions and critiques!
