The Comic

Trivia

Castle Vonreg has been part of my Lego Star Wars stories on EB's Mysteries. It was one of my last builds before eventually joining Factions, and I took the opportunity to feature the miniature build from that time in one of today's comic panels.

The build for this entry is part of the facade of Castle Vonreg. I tried to combine some typical castle features with the archetypical brutalist architecture of the Galactic Empire. It shouldn't feel like a cozy home for Pria, but kind of uncomfortable and hostile instead, with her mother being her only protection.

Featuring such an iconic character like Darth Vader was both fun and challenge. I could't miss the opportunity to put him in and I think it's plausible, given the fact house Vonreg was one of the most dedicated loyalist families. Still, with the minifigure proportions it's a challenge to make that icon really menacing. Let me know how you liked him enter the spotlight!

I also first time featured Prias mother. Her story is a tragedy and sort of the root cause of Pria's hating her father and the Empire. I already touched this part of Pria's history very early, in Flight of the Phoenix FotP - E01 -The Cold Blood Hideout and FotP - 14 - The Flame of Zhar

I decided to have Clone Troopers instead of Stormtroopers guarding the reception. I realized that Pria, given her age and that she's mother of a 13 year old now, the audience would have to happen quite early after the Galactic Empire was established.

Last but not least,I enter this one on Tibrin, where Pria is at present, even though her flashback plays on Castle Vonreg. I hope that's fine.
