In the depths of Belsavis' hospitable cenotes...

Belsavis was a planet of opposites. With its incredible distance from a warm sun, temperatures on the surface became unbearably cold. However, one simply needed to descend further down, past the icy wastes, to feel the incredible warmth provided by its unusually active, yet stable, volcanic activity.

Carm and his companions savored the brief respite from the chill, stocking up on water and other supplies provided by a helpful Gran farmer.

"So where to next, friend?" the farmer asked, gratefully accepting the credits Carm offered.

"Topside," Carm informed him, glancing upward at the monumental cliffside above them. Rock and molten activity quickly transitioned to snow and ice- a grim reminder of what awaited them on their journey.

The farmer grimaced. "Well, your business is your own, but you'll never catch me up in The Wastes. I hope whatever you're looking for up there is worth it."

It was peaceful down here. Barely a breeze cut through the stillness, and the local fauna clearly thrived in the warm glow of Belsavis' volcanic core.

One of the Flame troopers had finished refilling their insulated canteens at the water spigot, carefully sealing them before adding them to their travel packs. Carm looked back at the farmer.

They shook hands. "Thanks again for provisioning us- I'm guessing it'll be a while before we see warm food again, or water that hasn't completely frozen solid. Before we head off, I'm wondering if you have any news or local gossip. Always helpful to hear local tales when you're on a new planet."

The farmer paused, deep in thought. "Not much exciting happens 'round here. The Empire had a network of prisons, but those have all been abandoned since their fall. Not sure what stock you put in myths, but folks say this planet was occupied long ago, back in the days of the Old Republic. Some even talk of ancient ruins in some of the farther cenotes. I'll mark one on your map."

Carm handed him their holo-map and watched as the farmer punched a few buttons.

"Be careful, though- whether it's The Wastes or something worse, few folks go Topside and return to tell their tales."

Carm shifted uneasily, feeling a chill wash over him that he knew wasn't from the cold planet.

"Well," Carm snapped back to a confident smile, "be seeing you. Hopefully with some tales to tell."

The Flame of Zhar party packed up and set off on their journey to the abandoned facility.

Thanks so much for reading! This was a fun one- I was really inspired when I saw earthbricksytΒ Lars Homestead moc on Instagram and wanted to tackle a similar insulated build idea. The angles definitely proved tricky, but pretty happy with the final result πŸ™‚ As always, I welcome any comments, critiques, suggestions- always looking to improve!
