The past few months had kept Ghost Squadron busy. From the streets of Gyndine during the height of the crisis, to the investigation of the Rhydonium conspiracy on Reytha, and most recently the transfer of Brina Harp to the Wanderers of the Whills on Ord Vaxal, the veteran soldiers had spent little time away from duty.

Granted a brief period of leave by the New Republic, Ghost Squadron traveled to the glittering city of Canto Bight on Cantonica. The city was alive with wealthy elites from every corner of the galaxy. Recent cooperation between local security and the New Republic had also made the city safer than it had been in years, helping curb the pirate activity that once threatened the prosperous world as long as the New Republic promised not to look too hard into certain activities at the casino.

As the evening wore on, the squadron found themselves in one of Canto Bight's exclusive gaming lounges. Laughter echoed through the room as fortunes were won and lost beneath glittering chandeliers. Axton hung around the bar trading stories with other guests while others continued their runs at the tables. As he looked around and took in the beauty of the place he suddenly froze. Standing among a gathering of wealthy investors, former Imperial officials, and influential businessmen was a face he had not seen in over a decade. General Alden Kreel.

During the Galactic Civil War, Kreel had been one of the Rebellion's most celebrated leaders. A brilliant strategist and gifted commander, he had led countless operations against the Empire and inspired thousands to join the fight. Near the end of the war, Kreel disappeared during an operation and most assumed he had died. Yet there he was dressed in fine clothing and casually socializing with some of the galaxy's most powerful and questionable figures. For a moment, Axton wondered if his eyes were playing tricks on him.

Then the General looked up and recognition flashed across his face. Rather than surprise, a smile slowly spread across his lips. He raised his glass toward Ghost Squadron. Then, as quickly as he had appeared, General Alden Creel was gone.

Still staring at the now empty table, Axton turned to a nearby patron.

"Who was that?"

The patron shrugged. "Couldn't tell you his name. Around here, everyone just knows he's made a fortune in weapons manufacturing."

Additional Pics for Judging

I had a lot of fun putting this build together over the last month or so. My goal was to capture the luxury and atmosphere of Canto Bight through the gaming tables, bar, and the many patrons that bring the lounge to life. It was a fun challenge to recreate one of the galaxy's most iconic destinations while adding my own details.

This build also marks the beginning of a new chapter for Ghost Squadron. After several storylines centered around Brina Harp, I'm excited to shift the focus back to the squadron and see where this new mystery takes them.

This is lovely! You've really sold the atmosphere. I would have liked to see a gentle backlight through the patterned windows - maybe something for next time!
