Very little is known about the mysterious Samurai. A bounty hunter and warrior-for-hire, he is famous for never touching a blaster, relying solely on his vibro-daishō. Many have tried to gun him down, but the Samurai's ninja-like reflexes and tough armor has always given him an edge over his opponents.

The Samurai's red armor and purple garments are unusually colorful, representing the warrior's dramatic flair. He rarely goes for the easy kill, preferring to taunt and demoralize his opponents before striking them down. The Samurai hopes the televised matches of the Second Boonta Gauntlet will bring him the fame and glory he deserves.
