A giant of a man, and shrouded in secrets, Sho’gen started life as the eldest son of his clan’s leader. Trained in the ways of honor and deadly arts of Clan Tzesu from youth, Sho’gen gained a reputation as the finest warrior his people had ever seen. Yet this was not to last. One fateful night, a rival clan enlisted the help of offworlders to usurp the power of Clan Tzesu. Sho’gen’s family and people were destroyed to a man. 

Swearing that justice, not revenge, would be repaid, Sho’gen sought to join the Empire, eventually entering the service of the Protectorate of Kalarba. In return for his command and training of new recruits, Kalarba helped Sho’gen reap justice upon his enemies, finally avenging the honor of Clan Tzesu.

Records of the battle and its aftermath are classified, but it is said that Sho’gen overcame death itself, his heart stopping and starting several times over, in order to destroy his father’s killer, earning him the legendary traditional Tzesu title of Undying Shogun.

Sho’gen is still employed by the Protectorate as an adjudicator, honoring the traditions that Clan Tzesu preserved for thousands of years. 

Considered by the history of his people to be a man now advanced in years, Sho’gen enters the Boonta Gauntlet as a final hurrah to his fighting days. His Kalarba-sponsored suit boasts electro-gauntlets, a traditional Tzesu cloak handmade of armorweave, and a booster pack integrated into his armor. 

The last of his kin, Sho’gen will fight honorably. He scoffs at death, confident that even if he shall lose a battle, or even his life, he shall join his ancestors in the Halls of the Great Clans to celebrate their victory and legend forever.
