The Last Flight of Captain Dreiss

With the Conclave of Chains shattered and the Protectorate tightening its grip on Tirac Munda, Pirate Captain Dreiss finds himself a hunted man. A substantial bounty now hangs over his head, forcing the once-proud corsair to skulk through the city’s back alleys with his cloak drawn tight and his gaze fixed on the ground.

As he hurries through the narrow passage, a homeless vagrant calls after him for spare credits while, farther ahead, a Zygerrian and a Rodian argue in hushed but heated tones. Dreiss barely notices them. Every shadow feels like a trap, every passerby a potential informant eager to claim the Protectorate’s reward. He disappears deeper into the alley, never to emerge again.

By morning, local police had sealed off the alley. Dreiss’s body hangs in grim display as officers and a police droid carefully examine the scene, while a growing crowd gathers behind the barricades to witness the fate of the infamous pirate.

His gilded prosthetic arm has vanished, taken by an unknown hand. In its place, an Imperial seal has been branded across his chest, a chilling declaration that the Protectorate will no longer tolerate piracy in the Hevvrol Sector. Whether this was justice, vengeance, or a warning from an unseen ally, one thing is certain: the last remnants of the Conclave now know they are being hunted.
