[P14 - Vandor - PK] The Search

Following Wraith Squad's initial survey, Protectorate intelligence personnel have arrived on Vandor to investigate the unusual readings. Major Anred, accompanied by an intelligence specialist, has been dispatched to conduct a closer examination of the planet's remote and largely unexplored terrain.

Using Freeco speeders to traverse the snow-covered wastes, the team follows the coordinates transmitted by Wraith Squad. On a planet as desolate as Vandor, even the smallest anomaly warrants further investigation.

As the team approaches the suspected location, their equipment begins returning increasingly consistent readings. Something beneath the surface appears to be interfering with the scans, suggesting a possible buried structure or unusual geological formation. Its origin remains unknown, but the evidence is becoming difficult to dismiss.

The signal eventually leads the pair to a rock formation. The intelligence specialist checks the recovered coordinates again before pointing toward a seemingly ordinary outcropping ahead.

At first, there was nothing to see.

Then the scanners reveal a geometric shape beneath the snow and rock.

Someone built something here.

Anred approaches the formation, brushing snow away from a section of exposed material. Beneath it is unmistakably artificial construction. The discovery has finally produced a lead.

Major Anred orders the team to mark the coordinates and relay their findings to Protectorate command. The readings suggest that whatever lies beneath Vandor's frozen terrain may be significant enough to warrant a dedicated excavation effort and is to be treated as a potential Imperial archaeological discovery.
