The frozen streets of Gyndine’s capital lay under a tense silence, broken only by the crunch of boots against snow-covered cobblestone. Lieutenant Brytok led a small patrol of snow troopers through the narrow alleys, their white armor blending into the winter-choked cityscape. What had once been a stable Imperial world was now unraveling-protests had turned to riots, and riots to open resistance.
Governor Bin Essada still claimed control, backed quietly by rival Imperial warlords who saw Gyndine as too valuable to lose. But in the streets, that authority meant nothing. The people were rising, and they were no longer afraid.

As the lead trooper rounded a corner, the silence was shattered. From the shadows, an insurgent lunged forward, a crude butcher knife flashing in the dim light. The blade struck with brutal precision, dropping the trooper instantly.
Another figure emerged-a Sullustan woman gripping a jagged stone, her expression filled with fury. These were not trained soldiers. They were civilians turned desperate, striking with whatever weapons they could find. And they were done running.

Lieutenant Brytok barely had time to react. The Sullustan surged forward and threw the stone, hitting him hard against his temple. The impact sent him staggering backward, collapsing into the arms of the trooper behind him. His cap fell into the snow as his vision blurred.
The streets had become a battlefield-but not one the Empire had prepared for. This was not organized warfare. This was chaos.

A blaster shot cracked through the air from above.
The second trooper stiffened as the bolt struck, his grip loosening as he fell, dragging Brytok down with him. The lieutenant hit the frozen ground hard, landing among the growing silence of fallen soldiers. Snow scattered across the cobblestones, stained by the cost of the uprising.
The enemy wasn’t just in front of them-they were everywhere.
Dazed and struggling to move, Brytok looked up in horror. The Sullustan woman now held a blaster taken from one of his fallen troopers. Beside her, the knife-wielding insurgent advanced, step by step.
This was how it ended-not in glory, not in battle lines, but in a back alley, surrounded by civilians who had become executioners. The Empire’s grip on Gyndine was slipping, and Brytok was about to become another casualty of its failure.

A single shot cut through the moment.
The rooftop gunman dropped instantly, eliminated before he could fire again. From the opposing rooftop emerged a black-clad figure-a Shadow Trooper of Wraith Squad. Within seconds, the second operative appeared, moving with lethal precision. Blaster fire erupted in controlled bursts, and the remaining insurgents were cut down before they could react.
The alley fell silent once more-but this time, the Empire stood victorious.

The Shadow Troopers moved quickly, lifting Brytok to his feet as he struggled to regain composure. Their voices were calm, efficient. The situation across the capital has spiraled out of control; multiple sectors have erupted into open hostility. Imperial patrols were being targeted, ambushed, and erased.
They were here to extract him. A staging area had been established outside the worst of the fighting. The streets of Gyndine were no longer safe-not even for the Empire.

The additional images of Gyndine offer a broader look at the city caught in crisis. From the exterior of the residential-style buildings to their fully realized interiors, the environment tells its own story: tight corridors, exposed rooms, and layered structures.
These angles highlight the verticality and density of the city-ideal conditions for ambushes, hidden movements, and sudden violence. Rooftops, windows, and narrow streets all serve as strategic positions, explaining how quickly the insurgents have been able to disrupt Imperial patrols like Brytok’s. What appears orderly at first glance proves fragile under pressure.
The full layout and lineup of minifigures bring the entire conflict into perspective, showcasing both the Imperial presence and the growing insurgent resistance.
Neat Gyndine streets scene! I like the colors you used and how the city looks tie into what we've seen from urban Gyndine so far - I'm really pleased how the Episode prompts and previous entries help to shape a quite coherent look on the different locations in general 😀
On your build, I especially like the gold you used. I will tie into that look with mine 😬
I also enjoyed the story with the rebels celebrating a victory, only until the real bad(ass) guys arrive 🥶

Thank you so much!! That seriously means a lot!
I’ll be honest, I was kind of winging it and just trying my best to follow the vibe everyone else has been building, while working within the (very real) limits of the bricks I actually had on hand. So I’m really glad it still feels like it fits into Gyndine overall!
And I’m pumped you liked the gold! I wasn’t sure if I was overdoing it or not, but I figured the city needed a bit of that bold, imperial flair. Now I’m even more excited to see how you incorporate it into your build.
Also glad the story landed! I couldn’t resist giving the rebels that brief “we did it!” moment… before things go very, very wrong!
Long Live The Protectorate!
