Brakus - The Iron Merchant "Price confirmed. Payment accepted. Commencing customer termination."

Once designated BRX-57, this LR-57 protected a Retail Caucus vault on Christophsis during the Clone Wars. When the Confederacy collapsed, scavengers discovered the droid half-buried beneath the battlefield, its processors still functioning after decades of dormancy. Rather than scrapping it, a Hutt entrepreneur recognized its potential.

Its commercial security protocols were erased and replaced with an experimental gladiatorial combat matrix. The droid was rebuilt with reinforced servos and a brutal personality module designed to entertain bloodthirsty crowds.

It was renamed Brakus.

Unlike most battle droids, Brakus speaks calmly, even politely. Before every duel, it identifies its opponent as a "customer" and informs them that "all returns are final." The contrast only makes it more terrifying.

In the arena, Brakus advances slowly, absorbing blaster fire before unleashing devastating cannon volleys or crushing foes beneath its massive frame. It never runs. It never taunts. It simply walks forward until the fight is over.

After more than two hundred confirmed arena victories, spectators across the Outer Rim know its ritual.

The arena falls silent. The heavy metallic footsteps begin. 

Then comes the synthesized announcement: "Transaction initiated."

Moments later- "Transaction complete."

Among gamblers and gladiators alike, Brakus has earned a reputation as one of the few droids that genuinely enjoys combat, not because of faulty programming, but because somewhere beneath countless rewrites, fragments of its original retail security protocols remain.

To Brakus, every opponent is merely another theft in progress. And inventory must always be recovered.
