Tobekka is a hardy leaf‑plant grown across the Outer Rim.
In the mist-covered highlands of Barkhesh, where it hardly ever rains, Tobekka grows in a way found nowhere else in the Outer Rim, drawing moisture directly from the air.
The Barkheshi strain is darker, denser, and carries a earthly aroma from the minerals it absorbs.
Harvesters cut the leaves at dawn, when the mist is thickest and the plant’s oils are most concentrated.
The leaves are then dried in wind‑shelters. Farmers compress the dried leaves into dense trade bricks, easy to stack in cargo holds and often found alongside spice shipments on smuggler routes.
That's where the Flame's interest in these plants stems from.
Among starfarers, Barkheshi Tobekka is prized for its grounding scent while Mandalorians value it for remembrance rites. Tobek-Synth is available in form of deathsticks all across the galaxy.
