There was a shudder throughout the ship as the first torpedoes detonated against Reign’s forward shields, causing them to flare. Power was diverted from the aft shields, but it wasn’t enough, and the next barrage was able to punch through. It wasn’t anywhere near a full salvo, the Domain’s fire was uncoordinated and sporadic, but the damage was still immense. A section of the bow was torn open, armor and structural elements mangled by the blasts. Damage control teams were rushed to deal with the numerous fires in more sensitive areas of the ship that couldn’t simply have their atmosphere vented.

Sometimes the more mundane parts of a ship can be interesting, so here is a rather inconveniently designed damage control locker and an Imperial Damage Controlman.
